They stood together in her ready room, looking out the view port. His arms were wrapped around her waist, and his chin rested atop her head.
Kathryn leaned against his solid chest, watching the beautiful planet, sobbing because she was happy.
Earth.
Voyager had finally reached home.
Turning in his arms, Kathryn looked up at the man she loved. Even more tears rolled down her cheeks because she was finally free to express her feelings for him.
Chakotay broadly smiled down at her, his dimples making an appearance, as their eyes locked.
And then she said it.
"I love you."
