"I'm so disappointed in you, Chakotay," Kathryn said, angrily glaring at him. "You promised not to crash another shuttle. Just under that condition I allowed you to fly, and what have you done?! You've crashed our last shuttle!"
Chakotay faced the turbolift doors, trying to remain calm. Yes, she was right . . . he'd crashed the shuttle. But no, it hadn't been his fault. She'd read the report, so what's her problem?
"Look at me, dammit!" she yelled.
That was enough, and something inside Chakotay snapped. He spun around, drew her close, and began kissing her . . .
And the doors opened on deck 1.
